Set releases, card designs, sticker designs, video ads, number crunching, programming, app design, producing, tweeting, marketing, posting, monitoring—we do all this and more! It takes a lot of juice to keep the Quidd fire burning.
So I know the question you're all dying to ask:
"What does the Quidd team eat!??"
Lucky for us, we work in DUMBO ("Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass"), where a veritable bazaar of food trucks serve us an array of cuisine in occasionally-unpredictable rotations, all in diehard competition for the golden prize of being named Quidd's Favorite Food Truck.
Not really, but we like to think they love us as much as we love them.
Lucky for you, we've gathered some highly specialized qualitative research on the close-range observable eating habits of the native Quiddo Sapiens. Hands down, favorite food truck?
🎉🍟🍔🎉🍟🍔 FRITES 'N' MEATS 🍟🍔🎉🍟🍔🎉
In a staggering vote of 5 to 2 (everybody else was too busy working to vote), Quiddericans chose Frites 'N' Meats as their favorite food truck lunch destination. A low voter turnout aside, the love is real. To quote Vimal, resident Graphic Designer, Playlist Curator, Mixmaster of the super lit Quidd Labs channel, and universally agreed upon as the team's most qualified to "Go On Shake Your Shoulders Off,"—
"Frites 'N' Meats is a staple of the Quidd diet."
Or as Joe—Illustrator Extraordinaire, artiste fantastique de sensibilité raffinée, proprietor of a sarcasm so dry some might liken it to Death Valley, and Co-Inventor of Cardi, the not-yet-public Artificial Intelligence Virtual Reality Collecting Assistant Who Wears Cardigans—stated:
"I love Frites 'n' Meats for their unique burger of the week special. Helps me get in touch with my main property: Bob's Burgers."
Inside sources reveal that standard operating procedure involves one member of the team scouting out the menu on Thursdays and reporting his or her findings back to headquarters. This team member is typically either Carl—lovable producer from Lebanon, game designer genius with ridiculously infectious positivity and mad people skillz in his dealings at the office and on the app—or Noah—also a producer and game designer, Star Trek guru of unrivalled acumen, distributor of cheer, and lover of high-end refillable fountain pens. Once the menu items have been scouted and the findings reported back to Quidd, then—
"One by one we all succumb to grass-fed temptation."
Why game designers tend to take the lead on gathering the Frites 'N' Meats intel remains unknown.
A favorite go-to menu item at Frites 'N' Meats is the Burger of the Week, which this week is the scrumptious El Cubano, "a seasoned grassfed angus patty, rosemary ham, swiss cheese, pickles and sassy sauce." If you enjoy ending your meals in a state of pure satisfaction and a flourish of guilt, you want this to be the meal to get you there.
It should be noted that the Quidd team members quoted above are really hoping for a Frites 'N' Meats catered lunch at some blissful, unexpected moment in the near future. And as the author of this highly prestigious journalistic endeavor, I can attest to the fact that they deserve it.
Some other local favorite food trucks include Gorilla Cheese and Yankee Doodle Dandy. Here's proof! In the line below, waiting behind Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy's, Tina from Bob's Burgers, Kevin from Minions and Peter from Family Guy, you can spot our very own Carl, above-mentioned producer & community-monitor extraordinaire, alongside Pat Skelton, 3-d figure magician, indomitable morning person, and solicitor of paraphernalia intended to keep Quidd at optimum geeky levels (the horn of Gondor may occasionally be heard resounding through the building).
